Episode seven of CoinGeek Backstage has just been released on Streamanity.
In this episode, I talked to DrawBridge Lending CEO Jason Urban and Genesis Trading Head of Derivatives Joshua Lim, while Kurt Wuckert Jr. interviewed Joshua Ashley Klayman, U.S. head of fintech and head of blockchain and digital assets at Linklaters.
Unlike the previous episodes, episode 7 features three interviews, and provides answers to a lot of the questions individuals have around blockchain and digital asset financial products, regulation, and trading.
In the first half of the interview, Jason and I discuss what DrawBridge Lending does, the most popular blockchain/digital currency financial products, how institutional investors are warming up to blockchain and digital currency based financial products, as well as DeFi and the potential promise that sector holds.
In the second section of the interview, Kurt and Joshua Ashley talk about why blockchain and digital currency legal compliance is a mess at several companies, why it’s important to be compliant from day one at the architecture level, as well as the labels that companies in the blockchain and digital currency space like to give their creations and why the labels don’t actually mean much.
I return for the third section of the interview, this time with Joshua Lim of Genesis Trading. We explore the services that Genesis Trading offers, the products that institutional investors are most interested in, whether new money is entering the digital currency industry or not, as well as what he thinks of the DeFi sector.
