The London Blockchain Conference 2024 is finally upon us, with doors officially opening tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21, until Thursday, May 23, at the London ExCeL. I have a lot of love for this venue and have been countless times over the years, however it is huge and outside of Central London, so I’ll start by sharing these tips on how to arrive with zero stress.
The focus of this conference is bringing together enterprises, governments, and regulators to understand what blockchain and related future technology can do for them. Attendees will enjoy thoughtful discussions and real world examples of applications and solutions that exist today through a series of panels, presentations, exhibitor booths, a London Blockchain Conference 2024 “conference wallet” and side events.
The London Blockchain Conference session topics span from fusion of future tech to governance, cyber security, investment, Web3-powered music and gaming, technical insights, and more. I will personally be moderating two spectacular panels, the first on Day 1 at 4 p.m. on the subject of Blockchain Interoperability Challenges and the second on Day 3 at 1 p.m. on the subject of Supply Chain Optimization with Blockchain.
For those who have attended the London Blockchain Conference in the past, you will notice there are a number of fresh faces on the speaker roster (over 25% are women, might I add!) parachuting into London from forward-thinking companies, governments, and associations. Some examples of companies that will be represented are Accenture (NASDAQ: ACN), AWS, Gemini, Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL), Hitachi (NASDAQ: HTHIY), IBM (NASDAQ: IBM), Lloyds Banking Group (NASDAQ: LLDTF), NHS, Revolut, Tata Consultancy Services, Emirates Airlines, Bank of America (NASDAQ: BAC), FICO (NASDAQ: FICO), Forbes, and Gartner (NASDAQ: IT).
Keynotes this year include Scott Galloway, a real force of nature who teaches marketing at NYC’s Stern School of Business and hosts several popular podcasts, including “Pivot” with Kara Swisher. My father is a dedicated follower of Galloway, and for this reason alone, I absolutely cannot wait to hear him speak at the London Blockchain Conference 2024.
I’m also delighted to hear from keynote speaker Somi Arian, Founder and CEO at InPeak, an insightful personality I had the pleasure of interviewing in Dubai at the Global Blockchain Convention (GBC) in 2022. Arian has a special interest in the Middle East and brings a wealth of knowledge in entrepreneurship, VC, future tech, filmmaking, podcasting and more.
This year’s Conference Host is Lilly Douse, a talented public speaker with a passion for technology, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and fitness. Douse comes highly recommended by friends of mine in the online gambling and conference organizing space, so I know we are all in for a treat with her lighting up the London Blockchain Conference 2024 main stage.
In between sessions and during networking drinks, attendees always have the option of visiting the exhibitor hall. This space will include companies spanning across all sorts of sectors in the blockchain world such as platform and payment providers, mining pools, associations, start-up incubators, de-apps, media and more.
There will also be a massive CoinGeek booth featuring a studio where CoinGeek presenters such as myself, Kurt Wuckert Jr., Jon Southurst, Claire Celdran, and Charles Miller will be conducting live interviews with speakers and attendees. We can’t wait for this exciting new set-up!
For those looking for a little London Blockchain Conference side-event action, this evening you can join the Block Dojo and BSV Association for the annual Spring Party, also serving as the London Blockchain Conference 2024 opening party. There is a private event for Women in Blockchain on the 22nd and while there might not be an official closing party this year, our friends at Gate2Chain will be hosting a #LDNBlockchain24 side-event in Ibiza the weekend after the conference finishes.
As you can see, there is a lot of action planned for this week with some special surprises to be revealed along the way. If you have yet to register for the London Blockchain Conference 2024, you can do so online and please don’t forget to come by the CoinGeek studio on the expo floor, we’d all love to say hello.
