Anyone who spends five minutes in the cryptocurrency world likely knows about John McAfee’s SegWitCoin (BTC) bet, when he famously declared he would consume his own male genalita if BTC failed to reach $1 million in value by the end of 2020. Now, thanks to an anonymous web developer, we have a website to count down to the fateful date.
Dickening.com is a great resource for everything related to McAfee’s big dick bet. It offers almost everything you could want to find related to McAfee’s wager. There’s a countdown timer, an explanation of the bet with several quoted tweets, and a calculation of how much value BTC needs to gain for McAfee to win the bet.
With 532 days to go, BTC has over $990,000 to go before its valued at $1 million per coin. As the site concludes, “That means Bitcoin will need to grow an average of $1,861 per day between now and The Dickening.”
What’s great is that no matter what happens, there will be a Dickening. “Conversely, if Bitcoin is worth One Million Dollars by that day, most of the world is going to feel like dicks for not listening. A Dickening will be had no matter what,” the site concludes.”
The site goes beyond basic facts, and also promotes Dickening parties, recipes, some light background information on McAfee, and a BTC donation address to keep the site running. It also promises to stay up to date with McAfee’s latest tweets on the topc.
They might have missed out on a December 2018 tweet though, where McAfee is already trying to find ways to satisfy the wager without eating dick himself.
If the worst comes and I lose my Bitcoin bet (keep in mind I promised to eat my dick. The cutting it off first was added by the media), I will probably subcontract the task to a relay team of Bangkok prostitutes with instructions to carry out the task slowly, finishing as I exit

In any case, with the Dickening staying on the topic and the whole Bitcoin world aware of McAfee’s silly tweets, this isn’t a topic that’s likely to go away until the calendar turns to 2021. Whatever the outcome is, with McAfee’s shady record of promises, don’t expect much of a climax.
