CoinGeek New York is finally here and it’s set to be the biggest event on the Bitcoin calendar. The event kicks off today (October 5), with some of the Bitcoin industry’s most elite minds set to attend, both in-person and virtually.
Day 1 of the three-day conference is action-packed, with iGaming, the Metaverse, venture capital in Bitcoin, micropayments, and regulations among the topics to be discussed.
Bitcoin Association Founding President Jimmy Nguyen will return as the master of ceremony, a role in which he has thrived in over the other CoinGeek Conferences.
The first speaker at CoinGeek New York will be nChain CTO Steve Shadders who will give a BSV technical update. His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion delving into online gaming on Bitcoin SV, with Unbounded Enterprise’s Jackson Laskey and Haste Arcade’s Eric LaForce among those set to take the stage.
Still on gaming, the next two panels will discuss esports and gaming compliance. Nguyen will moderate one, with CoinGeek’s lead gaming industry reporter Becky Liggero Fontana moderating the next. FYX Gaming’s David Case, World Esports Consortium President Daniel Cossi, and kompany founder Peter Bainbridge-Clayton among the panelists.
CoinGeek’s Chief Bitcoin Historian Kurt Wuckert Jr. will be one of the moderators on Day 1, with his panel looking at what sets the BSV enterprise blockchain apart from other blockchains. Other panels will look at tools for a more lawful blockchain industry, smart contracts, micropayments, and venture investment in Bitcoin.
Day 1 will also see Bitcoin SV Hackathon finalists take to the stage to present their projects. The three finalists – CATN8, TKS Pnt, and Bitcoin Phone – will present to a judges panel made up of Dr. Craig Wright, Steve Shadders, and Ayre Ventures managing director Paul Rajchgod.
One of the highlights of the first day of CoinGeek New York will be Dr. Wright’s keynote speech, this time titled “Time is a Personal Experience.”
The event is a must-attend for any Bitcoin fan, blockchain enthusiast, curious mind, and digital currency/blockchain investor. Bitcoin SV enthusiasts will dominate the event, but CoinGeek events are open to anyone, including those who are building on other blockchain networks.
